Christoph Steckhan

Christoph has been heading the Capital and Networking division at IZET Itzehoe since 2024. His responsibilities include investor acquisition, advising and supporting startups, as well as networking and location development.

Raised in the Steinburg district, Christoph moved to Sydney, Barcelona, Munich, and Santiago de Chile to study international economics. He gained his first experience in the startup scene at the Startup Dock at TU Hamburg, where he helped build the university’s startup center starting in 2014 as the head of marketing and communications.

Before joining us at IZET, Christoph founded and led the Hamburg Investors Network. There, together with Dr. Kirsten Mikkelsen from the European University of Flensburg, he launched the nationally successful Female StartAperitivo.  

Christoph is the proud father of two daughters, a member of TSV Heiligenstedten, and works as a tour guide once a year at the Wacken Open Air festival.
